Health and Safety
The Health and Safety policies for NWMUN-Portland have been updated for the February 2025 conference.
Vaccination policy:
NWMUN-Portland 2025 does not require vaccines to attend. However, we strongly encourage that attendees receive the full course of vaccines for COVID-19, including applicable boosters, as well as the annual flu shot, by January 31, 2025 (to allow for the full extent of the immunity provided by the vaccines before people begin gathering at the hotel for the conference).
Mask policy:
NWMUN-Portland 2025 will not require the use of face masks for those not experiencing or recovering from symptoms associated with COVID-19, the flu, or other contagious illness. However, we strongly encourage attendees to use masks, and NWMUN will provide surgical as well as N95/KN95 masks for attendee use at no charge.
Separation policy:
We reserve the right to ask any attendee who appears to be experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness to use a mask, as well as to ask for them to leave the conference floors if they refuse to do so. This is to protect the health of other attendees.
We ask that any attendee who may be aware of exposure or is experiencing symptoms voluntarily choose to wear a mask, or be absent from committee floors, for the duration of the conference.
